International Womens Day- Embrace Equity

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.

Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity.

International Women's Day (IWD) belongs to everyone, everywhere. Inclusion means all IWD action is valid.

On IWD we celebrate all our amazing and inspiring female ambassadors who are making positive change in this world. Rachael Sporn (Basketball), Belinda Clark (Cricket), Chloe Dalton (Rudgy 7's, AFLW, Basketball), Sophie McCulloch (Surfing), Dawn Fraser AO (Swimming) who have each positively impacted their chosen sports and gone on to make wonderful and lasting contributions to the community.

We are so proud to have each of you connected to the program and inspiring other females and girls with what you have achieved and what you continue to do.

IWD sees a number of MISSIONS to help forge a gender equal world.

Celebrating women's achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key.

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.

Happy International Women's Day!
